Recently, the Crop Farming and Ecological Innovation Team of the Institute of Crop Science of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Nanjing Agricultural University have jointly researched and found that elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide (eCO2) can significantly promote rice growth, but the promotion of methane emissions has shown a significant decline. It shows that the methane emissions from rice fields under the background of the future climate are far overestimated internationally.
