Recently, the Institute of Grain Crops, Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, in cooperation with China Agricultural University and other units, has made new progress in the cloning and evolution of cold tolerance genes at booting stage in rice. The gradual selection of variation improved the cold adaptability of japonica rice. It was found that cold-tolerant japonica rice originated in Kunming, Yunnan, and the spread of cold-tolerant japonica rice at home and abroad was proposed, such as Yunnan-Japan-Northeast China and the Korean Peninsula.
