Recently, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences-International Livestock Research Institute”Livestock, Poultry and Pasture Genetic Resources Joint Laboratory”, in conjunction with China Agricultural University and other units, used a variety of omics methods to reveal the causal mutation and molecular regulation mechanism of buffalo white coat traits. It provides an important scientific basis for the protection and utilization of characteristic genetic resources of white buffalo in my country.
