Recently, the material and bioenergy team of agricultural college students in Central China published a research paper online in the International Journal of green chemistry, and a research paper in the International Journal of polymer chemistry, carbohydrate polymers. Using high-quality rice natural mutants, these two studies found the micro mechanism of cellulose nanostructure defects to enhance the characteristics of functional materials, analyzed the action mechanism of pectinuronic acid to remove heavy metals and organic dyes, and constructed the technical system of straw fiber ethanol co production of high-value biomaterials, so as to open up a new path of green and efficient utilization of agricultural waste based on genetic background.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are one of the main types of organic pollutants in farmland soils in my country. Aiming at a wide range of contaminated farmland soils, in-situ bioremediation is a green, efficient and environmentally friendly remediation measure. Jiang Xin’s team, a researcher from the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, aimed at PAHs polluted farmland and used bulk agricultural waste as raw materials to prepare biochar. Biomass charcoal-pollutant-microbe multi-interface interaction realizes a safe and efficient production and repair process.
