Vietnam’s”VietnamNet” website reported that, according to Nguyen Van Shou, deputy director of the Bac Giang Provincial Trade Promotion Center, about 4,000 tons of Bac Giang litchi have been exported to China every day. China has always been the largest export market for litchi in Beijiang, accounting for about 95%of the export volume of litchi in Beijiang Province.

Li Yingyang, chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang Province, Vietnam, said that the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan has just issued the protection certification of geographical indication products for Luan litchi in Bac Giang Province. Lu’an lychee is the first product in Vietnam to be certified for the protection of Japanese geographical indication products.
