From July 14 to 15, the National Agricultural Technology Center organized the 2022 national autumn grain major pest occurrence trend conference chamber of Commerce in Yinchuan, Ningxia. The meeting exchanged the early occurrence dynamics and occurrence characteristics of major diseases and pests in corn, middle and late rice and potato, focused on the analysis of the occurrence base and meteorological trend of autumn grain diseases and pests, and studied and judged the occurrence trend of major diseases and pests in corn, middle and late rice and potato in the second half of the year.
 
Through consultation and analysis, it is estimated that the overall occurrence of diseases and insect pests in the middle and late stage of corn is biased, with an area of 810 million mu times, including 530 million mu times of pests and 280 million mu times of diseases; Migratory pests such as Spodoptera graminearum, armyworm of the third generation and cotton bollworm pose a great threat to corn production, and diseases such as large leaf spot, brown spot and southern rust are more likely to occur in local areas. Diseases and insect pests of middle and late rice generally tend to occur, with an area of 900million Mu times, including 620million Mu times of pests and 280million Mu times of diseases; Rice planthopper, Chilo suppressalis and sheath blight have a high risk of occurrence in South China, Southwest China, Jiangnan, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the Yangtze Huaihe River rice region, while rice leaf roller and rice blast occur moderately to heavily. Potato late blight occurred in the northeast, northwest and North China; The occurrence area is 7.8 million mu.
 
According to the requirements of the meeting, in view of the severe situation of serious outbreaks of pests and diseases such as Spodoptera graminearum, meadow moth, rice”two migration pests” and rice blast, southern rust of corn, large leaf spot disease and potato late blight, the national monitoring and reporting system should further improve its position, clarify its responsibilities, strengthen its responsibilities, pay attention to key periods, key areas and key links, go all out to do a good job in monitoring and early warning, and provide technical support for the full harvest of autumn crops; At the same time, efforts should be made to promote the implementation of the monitoring and forecasting operation system, vigorously implement the construction of regional stations of the monitoring network, effectively promote the upgrading of monitoring equipment, improve the efficiency and benefits of grassroots monitoring and investigation, and lay a good foundation, platform and path for the leapfrog development of the cause of monitoring and reporting.
 
Technicians from 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in the main autumn grain producing areas of the country, as well as experts from scientific research and teaching institutions such as the Plant Protection Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanjing Agricultural University, the National Meteorological Center, Nanjing University of information engineering and so on attended the meeting.
