7月15日至16日，泰国呵叻府Pak Chong区Chokchai农场举行庆祝活动，为当地农场颁发Pak Chong-Khao Yai榴莲地理标志证书。
According to the growers, Pak Chong Khao Yai durian belongs to the mon thong variety, with sweet and soft pulp, dry texture and no strong smell.
Chusak chunkoh, deputy governor of Khorat Province, presided over the opening ceremony of the celebration and issued geographical indication certificates to 39 durian farms in Pak Chong and Khao Yai regions.
The tourists who participated in the event tasted durian and fruit buffets on site, as well as pitaya, longan, banana, avocado and shakyam planted in chokchai farm. The Miss Universe beauty queen of Thailand also went to the scene to cheer.
In June 2021, Pak Chong Khao Yai durian was registered as a geographical indication product in the Ministry of intellectual property of Thailand. The 39 farms that have obtained the certificate of geographical indication have a planting area of more than 20000 Lai, about 48000 mu.
