On July 15, the National Bureau of statistics released the latest data. In June 2022, the national catering revenue was 376.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.0%; Catering revenue of units above the designated size was 94.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2%. From January to June 2022, the national catering revenue was 2004billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7.7%; Catering revenue of units above designated size was 487.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7.8%.
 
According to the analysis of the China Cuisine Association, the growth rate of the total retail sales of consumer goods in June changed from negative to positive. The national catering revenue and the total catering revenue above the limit increased compared with May. The growth rate of the national catering revenue and the catering revenue above the limit decreased by 17.1 and 18.6 percentage points compared with May. From January to June, the growth rate of national catering revenue and catering revenue above the limit decreased by 56.3 and 64.1 percentage points compared with the same period last year, and catering revenue accounted for 9.5%of the total retail sales of social consumer goods.
 
The weather is heating up in June, and the catering industry is also warming up. Guangdong, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan and other places have accelerated the release of consumption potential in the service sector through the issuance of consumer vouchers, digital RMB red envelopes and other measures.

On June 9, Hunan Province issued the”several measures on further promoting the sustainable recovery of consumption”, and in terms of lighting up night consumption, it proposed to encourage night extended operation. The demand for night snack food and the popularity of night snack takeout in Changsha continued to rise. The order volume of night snack takeout in June increased by about 15%year-on-year in May. Compared with the same period in May, the online popularity of Taiping Street and Pozi street in Changsha doubled. The policy of promoting the recovery and development of difficult industries in the service sector has achieved initial results.
 
As one of the most social catering formats, hotpot has become a hot shoulder for reunion after the epidemic. On June 6, the number of hot pot searches increased by 178.17%on a day-on-day basis after the resumption of food in some areas of Beijing. Sichuan Chongqing hotpot, chuanchuanxiang, Chaoshan beef hotpot, etc. can best capture the taste buds of the public, while Yunnan pork ribs hotpot is also hot.
 
Crayfish is an important way for diners everywhere to enjoy the smoke and fire of the world on summer nights.
