Russia strengthens the examination of grain exporters applying for export to China

On July 14, 2022, the veterinary and Plant Health Supervision Bureau of the Russian Federation reported that in July 2022, the governments of the Autonomous Republic of Chuvash and Ulyanovsk Oblast of Russia conducted an inventory of enterprises willing to apply for grain export to China. Since 2022, seven grain enterprises in Ulyanovsk oblast have submitted 12 applications for export to China to the veterinary and Plant Health Supervision Bureau of the Russian Federation. In order to promote the export of grain and its processed products to the Chinese market, the veterinary and phytosanitary Supervision Bureau of the Russian Federation has conducted 12 entrusted audits according to China’s requirements, and taken relevant control measures to ensure the quality and safety of grain exported to China, such as preliminary phytosanitary inspection of stored grain and final phytosanitary inspection of specific batches of grain products before exporting grain products, And study the content of genetically modified organisms.
