From July 22 to 23, the 2022 China food and education development forum with the theme of”pooling industry resources and exploring the implementation of food and education” was successfully held in Jinan. The forum was guided by Shandong Food Science and Technology Association and the International Association for the promotion of food and education exchange. It was jointly hosted by food education network, Shandong Normal University and Shandong group meal industry association, and co organized by Shandong women’s and children’s activity center, Beijing food society, Jiangxi food Education Society, Nanjing Xiaozhuang College, Jiuyang public welfare foundation and the science popularization and Education Committee of Shandong Food Science and Technology Association.
At the forum, shiyu.com specially invited Professor Ma Guansheng, School of public health, Peking University, to deliver a keynote speech on”food education (Education) and healthy China Construction”.
Professor Ma Guansheng believes that food education is the foundation of survival and the foundation of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education. The whole society is facing challenges in nutrition, health, culture and other aspects. Food education, which is urgent, is a powerful starting point for promoting the construction of a healthy China. At the same time, Professor Ma also put forward suggestions on the development of food education in China and the development direction and Countermeasures of food education in the future.
Professor Ma believes that the development of food education needs government leadership and top-level design. In the context of building a healthy China, the various nutrition, health and education related policies issued not only set clear goals for the work related to food and education, but also play a practical guiding and guiding role.
Professor Ma believes that we should influence and improve people’s lifestyle through food education, put health education in a more important position, and unite the joint efforts of governments at all levels, families, schools, communities, enterprises, media and the whole society to ensure and promote the scientific, effective and sustainable development of food education.
