Iran’s agricultural exports in the first quarter of the Islamic calendar were US $1billion

The financial Tribune reported on July 24 that Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture released data showing that the country exported 2.16 million tons of agricultural products in the first quarter of the Islamic calendar (March 21 to June 21), with a value of $1 billion, and the quantity and amount decreased by 10.53%and 16.25%year-on-year respectively. The main agricultural products exported are watermelon, tomato, pistachios, apples and potatoes. During this period, Iran imported 5.57 million tons of agricultural products, amounting to US $3.7 billion, with a year-on-year decrease of 14.62%in quantity and 0.02%in amount. The main imported agricultural products are corn, wheat, rice, soybeans, etc.
