This year, the number of imported silver salmon from South Korea has increased, and has become the main variety of imported Chilean seafood, accounting for 37.5%. According to the import volume, it is followed by frozen squid tubes and frozen squid wings. Atlantic salmon ranks fourth, with an import volume of 944 tons, an increase of 31%year-on-year, and the import volume of cold frozen cooked mussels increases by 35%year-on-year.
In the first half of this year, South Korea imported 7665 tons of seafood from Chile, up 4%from 7402 tons in the same period last year. During this period, South Korea imported 626267 tons of seafood, and Chilean seafood accounted for 1%of the total.
The price per kilogram of Chilean seafood imported by South Korea is as follows:
– frozen silver salmon:$6.80;
– frozen squid tubes:$1.87;
– frozen large squid wings:$1.32;
– frozen Atlantic salmon:$7.94.
