Recently, the”method and application for determining the deposition rate of calcium carbonate in cultured shellfish” invented by Li Jiaqi of the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and others was authorized by the national invention patent, patent number:ZL 202010431782x.
 
The invention belongs to the technical field of seawater shellfish culture, and discloses a method and application for measuring the calcium carbonate deposition rate of cultured shellfish, including on-site weighing of shellfish to be measured, temporary water culture, measurement of water flow rate, on-site sampling and preservation of seawater after cultivation, indoor measurement of total alkalinity of seawater samples, and calculation of calcium carbonate deposition rate of cultured shellfish to be measured according to the measured shellfish weight and water flow rate.
 
Based on the accurate component method of analytical chemistry, the invention reflects the growth status of shellfish, and the whole operation can be completed in one day. The intervention on shellfish growth measured on site in the breeding area can be minimized, which does not affect the next stage of growth of the tested individual, and is suitable for monitoring the real-time growth status of shellfish. Compared with the prior art, the invention provides a direct and real-time data reference for farmers to master the growth of cultured shellfish in real time, and provides strong support for farmers to formulate improved breeding schemes more flexibly.
