Drought forced Argentina to reduce wheat planting area and yield expectations

   阿根廷《国民报》网站7月14日报道,罗萨里奥粮交所在新一期《月度农业评估报告》中称,受当前干旱天气影响,阿2022/23年度小麦预计播种面积由620万公顷下调至590万公顷,较2021/22年度减少100万公顷;产量预期由1850万吨下调至1770万吨,较上年度减少340万吨,同比下降19.9%。报道称,阿根廷中部地区小麦播种窗口将于7月20日左右结束,南部地区播种将持续至8月初,但预期时间内仍未有充足降水能够缓解干旱。

 
On the other hand, the national corn harvest progress has reached 85%of the planting area. The expected output of Chaco and Santiago del Estero provinces has increased. At the same time, the sown area of commercial corn nationwide has been increased to 7.42 million hectares, making the total sown area of corn reach a record 8.65 million hectares, an increase of 17%year-on-year. The Rosario Grain Exchange predicts that the total yield of Arabian corn will reach 51 million tons in 2022/23. Affected by the drought, the current average yield is only 6830 kg/ha, far lower than the level of 8190 kg/HA in 2021/22.
