According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), on June 22, 2021, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reported to OIE that Russia had a new outbreak of African swine fever.
The outbreak occurred in the Selivanovo District of Vladimir Region. It was confirmed on June 13, 2021. The source of the outbreak is unknown or uncertain. According to clinical and laboratory tests, 13 domestic pigs were suspected of being infected, and all of them became ill and died.
The epidemic is not over yet, and the Russian Ministry of Agriculture will submit a follow-up report every week.
