The Viet Cong Electronic News reported on April 15 that on April 14, the 2021 Vietnam Shrimp Farming Technology Exhibition opened in Can Tho City. The exhibition will end on April 16.
The representative of the Directorate General of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam said, “The theme of this exhibition is’Sustainable development is the ultimate goal’, and hopes to communicate and understand the latest technology of sustainable shrimp farming for managers, entrepreneurs and farmers. Provide a platform to promote the sustainable development of the shrimp industry.”
Currently, Vietnam’s high-tech shrimp farming area totals 200,000 hectares. With an average annual growth rate of 7%in the world’s shrimp aquaculture industry, Vietnam is expected to become the world’s largest shrimp producer and processor, accounting for 21%of the global market share. In 2021, Vietnam has set a goal of reaching 4 billion U.S. dollars in shrimp exports.
