The research results have promoted the development of cotton genomics and functional genomics, laid the foundation for the research on the formation mechanism of polyploid crops and the creation of breeding materials, and provided important and excellent genetic resources for the”precision breeding” of cotton. Relevant research results are widely recognized by domestic and foreign counterparts, and are cited in papers published by internationally renowned journals including Nature, Science, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Genetics, etc.
