The number of frozen Atlantic salmon imported by South Korea in February decreased by 38%year-on-year

   News from SeafoodMedia on April 2 that the number of frozen Atlantic salmon imported by South Korea in February this year decreased from 366 tons in the same period last year to 226 tons, a 38%drop. The cumulative import volume in the first two months was 419 tons, which was lower than the 906 tons in the same period last year, a decrease of 54%.

   The average import volume in February 2016-2021 was 391 tons, and 226 tons was 42%lower than that figure.
  Frozen Atlantic salmon mainly comes from Norway and Chile. 95%of frozen Atlantic salmon comes from Norway, about 397 tons, and Chile accounts for 5%, about 22 tons.
   The import value of frozen Atlantic salmon in February was US$1.5 million, and the import price of Norwegian salmon was US$6.57 per kilogram.
