The number of frozen Alaskan pollock imported from South Korea in March decreased by 43%year-on-year

From SeafoodMedia’s April 7 news, in March this year, South Korea imported 11,929 tons of frozen Alaskan pollock, a 43%decrease from 20,871 tons in the same period last year. The cumulative import volume in the first quarter was 34,938 tons, down from 44,584 tons in the same period last year. A decrease of 22%.

   March frozen Alaska pollock mainly comes from three countries:
  -Russia:34,205 tons of imports;
  -United States:669 tons of imports;
  -Canada:64 tons of imports.
   Among the average import prices, the highest price comes from the United States, at US$1.27 per kilogram; the price in Russia is US$1.1 per kilogram; and the price in Canada is US$1.06 per kilogram.
