   On April 1, focusing on the major occurrence trend of grass borers in my country’s major agricultural pests in recent years, the Grassland Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences organized a video conference on the joint monitoring of grass borers between China and Mongolia, and invited the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to provide services for national agricultural technology extension Nearly 20 experts from the Center, the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Plant Protection and Plant Inspection Station of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the Institute of Biology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences discussed the China-Mongolia grassland borer joint monitoring work plan and working mechanism.
   In view of the hazards of the cross-regional migration of grass borers in the border areas of China and Mongolia, the two sides agreed that it is necessary to deepen cooperative research. The two parties exchanged the general situation and trends of the occurrence of grass borer in China and Mongolia in 2020, discussed the migration routes of grass borer populations and the characteristics of population interaction in the border areas of China and Mongolia, clarified the joint survey and monitoring point layout plan and the focus of work in 2021, and systematically discussed The cooperation plan in the next five years will lay a solid foundation for the establishment of a national monitoring network for major crop pests, to further understand the law of occurrence of grass borers, to release early warning information in time, and to guide scientific prevention and control.
