The EU publishes a list of third countries that allow the export of animal-derived foods for human consumption to the EU

   On March 31, 2021, the Official Journal of the European Union published the (EU) Commission Implementation Regulation No. 2021/405, which is a list of third countries that allow the export of animal-derived foods for human consumption to the EU. According to the list, China’s farmed rabbit meat (Annex 5), aquatic products (Annex 9), frog legs and snails (Annex 11), gelatin and collagen from cattle, sheep, pigs, odd-hoofed animals and poultry ( Annex XII and XIII) Allow export to the EU.

   As a supporting specification of Regulation No. 2017/625, this regulation will be implemented on April 21, 2021.
