South Korea releases partial amendments to the Regulations on Self-Quality Inspection of Livestock Products

  Food Partner Network News On April 9, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Announcement No. 2021-32 to amend part of the “Regulations on Self-Quality Inspection of Livestock Products”. The main content is as follows:
  1. It is clearly stipulated that the meat packaging and processing industry operators shall conduct enterohaemorrhagic E. coli inspections and self-quality inspection cycles and inspection items for crushed and packaged meat more than once a month.
  2. Newly set self-quality inspection regulations for middle-aged and elderly livestock products.
