   On the morning of April 14, 2021, the Shanghai Food Safety Work Federation held a kick-off meeting for the revision of the group standard”Guidelines for the Management of Rest assured Restaurant, Rest assured Canteen” and”Management Code of Trustworthy Supermarkets”. The Food Management Office of Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Bureau and the main drafting unit of the”Guidelines for the Management of Safe Restaurants and Safe Canteens” and”Management Norms for Trustworthy Supermarkets” (Shanghai Catering Industry Association, Qifen (Shanghai) Standard Technical Service Co., Ltd., Ingeer Testing Relevant personnel from Technical Service (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., SBS Standard Technical Service (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Tianxiang Quality Service Technology Co., Ltd.) attended the meeting.
  The meeting held that the group standards”Guidelines for the management of restaurants and cafeterias” and”Guidelines for the management of trustworthy supermarkets” are essential for the implementation of the”Shanghai City Action for Building a Safe Food City Satisfied by the Citizens” issued by the General Office of the Shanghai Municipal Committee The Plan played an active role. The relevant regulatory authorities also clearly require that the creation activities be carried out in accordance with these two group standards. The compliance rate of rest assured restaurants and trustworthy supermarkets has been included in the assessment indicators. However, due to the continuous changes in the market environment and the increasing number of new business formats, relevant national regulations and standards have been promulgated, especially the creation of a national food safety city, and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the The “Implementation Plan for Opinions on Food Safety Work” requires new requirements for the creation of food safety demonstration streets (stores). At present, some clauses of the group standards are no longer applicable and urgently need to be revised. In accordance with the 2021 group standard revision plan of the Shanghai Food Safety Work Federation, the revision work of the group standards”Guidelines for the Management of Safe Restaurants and Safe Canteens” and”Management Standards for Trustworthy Supermarkets” was initiated. The meeting clarified the content to be revised, the division of tasks and time nodes for revision. Strive for the revised standards to guide enterprises to create assured restaurants, trustworthy supermarkets, and food safety demonstration streets (stores), as well as relevant third-party audits and certifications.
