The output of the 2020-2021 crop year will reach 30.75 million bags, which is lower than 31.67 million bags (50 kg/bag) in the same period last year. Demand for raw sugar increased by 7.27%to 1.15 million metric tons. Sugarcane production increased by 5.24%to 18.4 million tons. The output of refined sugar dropped by 16.03%to 476,000 tons. The ex-factory price of each bag of sugar increased by 13%to 1,633 pesos.
