Food Partner Network News According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), on April 15, 2021, the Mali Veterinary Service notified the OIE that there were 3 outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in Mali .

γ€€γ€€ The outbreak occurred in Sikaso, Bamako, and Kati, and it was confirmed on April 2, 2021. The source of the epidemic is unknown or uncertain. Laboratory tests revealed that 50,150 poultry were suspected of being infected, of which 39,860 became ill and died, and 10,290 were killed and disposed of.
