Food Partner Network News According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), on April 13, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Animal Production and Health of South Africa reported to OIE that an H5 highly pathogenic disease occurred in South Africa Avian influenza epidemic.

γ€€γ€€ The outbreak occurred in Ai Kulaini City, Gauteng Province, which was confirmed on April 11, 2021. The source of the epidemic is unknown or uncertain. Clinical and laboratory tests revealed that 29,000 poultry were suspected of being infected, and 300 of them became ill and died.
