Ukraine’s latifundist website quoted the agro-industrial complex website on April 5th, predicting that Ukraine’s cereal output in 2021 will reach 73.8 million tons, an increase of 13%year-on-year. Among them, wheat output is expected to reach 27.5 million tons, an increase of 10%year-on-year; 8 million tons of barley, an increase of 2%year-on-year; and 35.7 million tons of corn, an increase of 19%year-on-year.
Experts believe that the positive forecast is due to good winter conditions for overwintering crops, favorable spring planting conditions, and good price trends this year, which make people have a strong interest in the production of major crops.
It is estimated that the cereal exports in the next year will reach 54.2 million tons, an increase of 19%over this year and a decrease of 1%over 2019/2020. Wheat exports are expected to reach 19.98 million tons, an increase of 13%year-on-year; barley exports are 4.3 million tons, an increase of 1%year-on-year; corn exports are 29.5 million tons, an increase of 27%year-on-year.
