  1.1.1 January-February imports of dry dairy products from +17%to 560,000 tons, and liquid dairy products +52%to 200,000 tons
   Description:1. As the import of cream increases year by year, starting from 2021, the report separates cream from the packaged milk category.
  2. As the import volume of milk protein is year by year, according to the opinion of the Customs and Food Administration, the two tariff numbers (35011,35022) of milk protein will be classified as dairy products in 2021.
   From January to February 2021, my country imported a total of 762,300 tons of various dairy products, +24.8%year-on-year, and imports of US$2.416 billion, +9.1%year-on-year, equivalent to 4.7070 million tons of fresh milk, which is +18.5%year-on-year (dry Products are converted at 1:8, and liquid dairy products are converted at 1:1).
   Among them, dry dairy products were 563,500 tons, +17.4%year-on-year, imports were US$2.15 billion, +6.1%year-on-year, and liquid dairy products were 198,800 tons, year-on-year +51.7%, and imports were US$266 million, +42.6%year-on-year.
  From the perspective of the main imported categories, the import volume of bulk powder, whey, cheese, protein products, as well as packaged milk and cream all increased significantly, and only infant formula, cream and yogurt decreased by varying degrees. Where:
  Large package of flour Imported 329,600 tons, +15.2%year-on-year, imports 1.05 billion US dollars, +12.7%year-on-year, average price 3186 US dollars/ton, -2.1%year-on-year, mainly from:New Zealand Accounted for 87.4%, EU28 accounted for 6.1%, and Australia accounted for 3.3%.
  Baby powder Imported 38,000 tons, -16.8%year-on-year, imports 631 million US dollars, -7.6%year-on-year, average price 16,592 US dollars/ton, +11%year-on-year; mainly from:EU 28 accounted for 71%, New Zealand accounted for 22.1%, Australia accounted for 2.5%.
  Milk Cheese Imported 30,700 tons, +33.1%year-on-year, import value was US$136 million, +30.8%year-on-year, and average price was US$4426/ton, -1.7%year-on-year. Mainly from:New Zealand Accounted for 70.6%, EU28 accounted for 15.9%, and Australia accounted for 8.8%.
  Milk oil Imported 26,500 tons, -17.1%year-on-year, imports 109 million US dollars, -28.3%year-on-year, average price 4104 US dollars/ton, -13.5%year-on-year; mainly from:New Zealand accounted for 91.2%, EU28 accounted for 7.1%, and Australia accounted for 1.6%.
  Milk clear Imports 126,200 tons, +50.3%year-on-year, imports 156 million U.S. dollars, +55.4%year-on-year, and average price of 1,236 U.S. dollars/ton, +3.4%year-on-year; mainly from:EU28 Accounted for 38.6%, the United States accounted for 37.2%, and Belarus accounted for 9.6%.
  Refined milk Imports of 3,700 tons, +9.9%year-on-year, imports of US$ 7 million, +28.1%year-on-year, and average price of US$1966/ton, year-on-year +16.5%, mainly from:EU 28 Accounted for 78.8%, Australia 15.2%, Malaysia 3.6%.
  Protein Imports of 0.88 million tons, +54.8%year-on-year, imports of US$61 million, year-on-year +20.1%, and average price of US$7013/ton, -22.4%year-on-year, mainly from:EU28 Accounted for 47.8%, New Zealand accounted for 27.4%, and the United States accounted for 21.8%.
  Packaged milk Imported 156,100 tons, +62%year-on-year, imports 127 million US dollars, +54.8%year-on-year, average price 816 US dollars/ton, -4.5%year-on-year, mainly from:EU 28 Accounted for 61.3%, New Zealand accounted for 26.2%, Australia accounted for 10.8%.
  Cream Import 39,900 tons, +31%year-on-year, import value 133 million US dollars, +37.2%year-on-year, average price 3339 US dollars/ton, +4.7%year-on-year, mainly from:New Zealand accounted 58.4%, EU28 accounted for 40.6%, and Australia accounted for 1%.
  Live cattle Imported 78,000 head, +99.9%year-on-year, 26,000 head from Australia, 20,900 head from Uruguay, 18,500 head from New Zealand, and 12,500 head from Chile. Among them, only 11,700 heads of breeding cattle were classified by the customs, +54%year-on-year, from 4,200 heads from New Zealand, 3,600 heads from Uruguay, 25,000 heads from Australia, and 15,000 heads from Chile.
   From the single month of February 2021, imported dairy products have declined. In February 2021, my country imported a total of 254,600 tons of various dairy products, a year-on-year decrease of 3.4%. The import value was US$816 million, a year-on-year decrease of 19.6%, which was equivalent to 1,461,300 tons of fresh milk, which was -12.5%​​year-on-year (Dry products were 1:8 , Liquid milk is converted at 1:1).
  Among them, imported dry dairy products were 172,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.2%, and imports amounted to US$704 million, a year-on-year decrease of 23.9%. There were three main categories of products:77,900 tons of bale flour, accounting for 45.2%, and whey products. 56,000 tons, accounting for 32.5%, and 16,300 tons of infant powder, accounting for 9.5%; imported liquid milk, 82,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 37.7%, and imports of US$111 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.4%.

  1.1.2 From January to February, my country exported 62.57 million tons of various dairy products, -3.2%year-on-year
   The export volume of Chinese dairy products is very small. For many years, the main export products have been the supply of Hong Kong milk to Guangdong. In recent years, exports have declined year by year. Infant formula has become the most important export product, and the main destinations are the same It’s Hong Kong.
   From January to February 2021, my country exported a total of 6,257.22 tons of various dairy products, a year-on-year decrease of 3.2%. The export value was US$38,187,400, a year-on-year decrease of 18.2%; among them, my country exported 2767.77 tons of various dairy products in February, a year-on-year decrease 9.5%, the export value was 12.891 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 12%.
  Dry dairy products From January to February 2021, the export of dry dairy products was 2110.57 tons, a decrease of 20.3%year-on-year, and the export value was 33.312 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 21.7%; of which, dry dairy products were exported in February 860.82 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.9%, and the export value was US$10,668,500, a year-on-year decrease of 15.6%.
  Liquid milk From January to February 2021, the export of liquid milk was 4,146.65 tons, an increase of 8.8%year-on-year, and the export value was US$4.8751 million, an increase of 17.8%year-on-year. Among them, the export of liquid milk in February was 1,905.95 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.8%, and the export value was US$2.2229 million, an increase of 10.4%.
  Forage and feed ingredients
  1.2.1 Hay imports from January to February +22%to 259,000 tons
  According to customs statistics, from January to February, my country imported 259,900 tons of hay, a year-on-year increase of 22.0%. Imports amounted to US$89,964,400, a year-on-year increase of 17.7%. The average CIF price was US$347.40/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 3.6%.
   Alfalfa hay:From January to February 2021, my country imported a total of 185,700 tons of alfalfa hay, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%, accounting for 71.7%of total hay imports; the average CIF price was US$355.28/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1%. Imported 166,400 tons from the United States, accounting for 89.6%, a year-on-year increase of 25.4%; imported 7,600 tons from South Africa, accounting for 4.1%, a year-on-year decrease of 10.6%; imported Spanish dehydrated alfalfa, accounting for 6,600 tons, accounting for 3.5%, a year-on-year decrease of 59.2%.
   In addition, there are a small amount of imports from other countries, Canada, Sudan, and Lithuania.
   Oat hay:From January to February 2021, my country imported 73,300 tons of oat hay, an increase of 40.2%year-on-year, accounting for 28.3%of total hay imports; the average CIF price was US$327.43/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 7.1%. All imported oat hay comes from Australia.

   Imported 563,500 tons of dry dairy products from January to February 2021, a year-on-year increase of 17.4%. The import value was US$2.15 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%. The three main categories of products include 329,600 tons of large bags of flour. It accounts for 58.5%, whey is 126,200 tons, accounting for 22.4%, and infant powder is 38,000 tons, accounting for 6.7%.
   In February, 172,400 tons of dry dairy products were imported, a year-on-year decrease of 14.2%. Imports amounted to US$704 million, a decrease of 23.9%year-on-year. 56,000 tons of cleaning products, accounting for 32.5%, and 16,300 tons of infant powder, accounting for 9.5%.
  2.1.2 Large package of flour imports from January to February 15%to 329,600 tons, and the price is -2.1%year-on-year to 3186 US dollars/ton
  According to China Customs statistics, from January to February 2021, China imported a total of 329,600 tons of bales of flour, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%. Imports amounted to US$1.05 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%. The average price was US$3,186/ton, a year-on-year decrease. 2.1%.
   Among them, 288,000 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 87.4%, an increase of 12.7%year-on-year, 20,100 tons from the EU, accounting for 6.1%, an increase of 64.8%year-on-year, and 10,900 tons from Australia, accounting for 3.3%, an increase year-on-year 10.6%.
   In February, China imported a total of 77,900 tons of bale flour, a year-on-year decrease of 28.4%. Imports amounted to US$254 million, a year-on-year decrease of 29.9%. The average price was US$3263/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1%.
   Among them, 59,700 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 76.7%, a year-on-year decrease of 35.1%, 9800 tons from the EU, accounting for 12.6%, an increase of 53.2%, and 4,200 tons from Australia, accounting for 5.4%, a year-on-year decrease. 21.1%.

  2.1.3 Whey imports from January to February +50%to 126,200 tons, and the price is +3.4%year-on-year
  According to China Customs statistics, from January to February 2021, China imported a total of 126,200 tons of whey, an increase of 50.3%year-on-year. Imports amounted to US$156 million, an increase of 55.4%year-on-year. The average price was US$1,236/ton, a year-on-year increase. 3.4%.
   Among them, 48,700 tons were imported from the EU, accounting for 38.6%, a year-on-year increase of 42.4%, 46,900 tons from the United States, accounting for 37.2%, an increase of 33.2%, and 12,100 tons from Belarus, accounting for 9.6%, a year-on-year increase 70.3%, 3,900 tons were imported from Argentina, accounting for 3.1%, a year-on-year increase of 15.6%.
   In February, China imported 56,000 tons of whey, a year-on-year increase of 24%. Imports amounted to US$71 million, a year-on-year increase of 32.8%. The average price was US$1277/ton, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%.
   Among them, 22,900 tons were imported from the EU, accounting for 40.8%, an increase of 18.7%, 20,500 tons from the United States, accounting for 36.7%, an increase of 10.4%, and 4,600 tons from Belarus, accounting for 8.3%, a year-on-year increase 27.8%.

  2.1.4 Cheese imports from January to February +33.1%to 30,700 tons, the price is -1.7%year-on-year
  According to China Customs statistics, in January-February 2021, China imported a total of 30,700 tons of cheese, an increase of 33.1%year-on-year. Imports amounted to US$136 million, an increase of 30.8%year-on-year. The average price was US$4,426/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%.
   Among them, 21,700 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 70.6%, an increase of 25.9%year-on-year, 4,900 tons from the EU, accounting for 15.9%, an increase of 153.3%year-on-year, and 27,000 tons from Australia, accounting for 8.8%, an increase year-on-year 1.7%.
   In February, China imported 11,200 tons of cheese, a year-on-year increase of 64%. Imports amounted to US$50 million, a year-on-year increase of 57.9%. The average price was US$4,457/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 3.7%.
   Among them, the import from New Zealand was 7,400 tons, accounting for 65.6%, a year-on-year increase of 67.4%, from the EU, importing 10,900 tons, accounting for 17.1%, a year-on-year increase of 88.6%, and importing 14,000 tons from Australia, accounting for 12.3%, a year-on-year increase 59.1%.

   2.1.5 Cream imported from January to February -17.1%to 26,500 tons, the price is -13.5%year-on-year
  According to China Customs statistics, from January to February 2021, China imported a total of 26,500 tons of butter, a year-on-year decrease of 17.1%. The import value was US$109 million, a year-on-year decrease of 28.3%. The average price was US$4,104/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 13.5.%.
  Among them, 24,100 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 91.2%, a year-on-year decrease of 20.5%, and 10,900 tons were imported from the EU, accounting for 7.1%, a year-on-year increase of 25.8%.
   In February, China imported a total of 6,800 tons of butter, a year-on-year decrease of 22.1%. The import value was US$29 million, a year-on-year decrease of 32.6%. The average price was US$4,245/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 13.5%.
   Among them, 5700 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 84.4%, a decrease of 28.6%year-on-year, and 7,000 tons from the European Union, accounting for 11%, an increase of 11.6%year-on-year.

  dairy exports

   Export destination, Hong Kong 1,442.26 tons, accounting for 68.3%, a year-on-year decrease of 26%, exports to Macau 149.21 tons, accounting for 7.1%, an increase of 140.7%, and exports to the Philippines 126 tons, accounting for 6%, an increase of 133.3%year-on-year.
   There are three main categories, 1108.6 tons of infant powder, accounting for 52.5%; 339.01 tons of large package powder, accounting for 16.1%; and 282.09 tons of condensed milk, accounting for 13.4%.
  Infants and young children are dispensed with milk powder:
  According to China Customs statistics, in January-February 2021, China exported 1108.6 tons of infant powder, a year-on-year decrease of 32.3%. The export value was US$30 million, a year-on-year decrease of 23.9%. The average price was US$26,946/ton, a year-on-year increase of 12.5.%.
   Among them, exports to Hong Kong, my country, accounted for 906.24 tons, accounting for 81.7%, a year-on-year decrease of 40.2%, and exports to Macau were 149.21 tons, accounting for 13.5%, an increase of 140.7%year-on-year.

  2.2.2 Liquid milk exports from January to February +8.8%to 4147 tons, price +8.3%
  According to China Customs statistics, in January-February 2021, China exported a total of 4146.65 tons of liquid milk, an increase of 8.8%year-on-year. The export value was US$0.05 million, a year-on-year increase of 17.8%. The average price was US$1,176/ton, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%. .
   Among them, exports to Hong Kong were 3,731.51 tons, accounting for 90%, an increase of 5.4%year-on-year, and exports to Singapore were 212.11 tons, accounting for 5.1%, an increase of 23.5%year-on-year.

  03 Consumer dairy trade

  Consumer dairy imports
  3.1.1 Infant powder imported from January to February -16.8%to 38,000 tons, the price is +11%year-on-year
  According to China Customs statistics, from January to February 2021, China imported a total of 38,000 tons of infant powder, a year-on-year decrease of 16.8%, and imports of US$631 million, a year-on-year decrease of 7.6%. The average price was US$16,592/ton, a year-on-year increase 11%.
   Among them, 27,000 tons were imported from the EU, accounting for 71%, a year-on-year decrease of 18.4%, and 8,400 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 22.1%, a year-on-year decrease of 5.9%.
   In February, China imported a total of 16,300 tons of infant powder, a year-on-year decrease of 36.3%, and imports of US$274 million, a year-on-year decrease of 30.8%. The average price was US$16,781/ton, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%.
  Among them, 11,900 tons were imported from the EU, accounting for 73%, a year-on-year decrease of 34.6%, and 2900 tons from New Zealand, accounting for 18%, a year-on-year decrease of 44%.

  According to China Customs statistics, from January to February 2021, China imported a total of 156,100 tons of packaged milk, an increase of 62%year-on-year. Imports amounted to US$127 million, an increase of 54.8%year-on-year. The average price was US$816/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%.
   Among them, 95,600 tons were imported from the EU, accounting for 61.3%, an increase of 75.9%year-on-year; 40,800 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 26.2%, an increase of 38.2%, and 16,800 tons were imported from Australia, accounting for 10.8%, an increase from the same period last year. 66.5%.
   In February, China imported a total of 64,700 tons of packaged milk, a year-on-year increase of 43%. Imports amounted to US$53 million, a year-on-year increase of 41.8%. The average price was US$826/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%.

Among them, 23,300 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 58.4%, an increase of 4%year-on-year, and 16,200 tons were imported from the EU, accounting for 40.6%, an increase of 109.7%year-on-year.
   In February, China imported 16,400 tons of cream, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%. Imports amounted to US$56 million, a year-on-year increase of 16.9%. The average price was US$3414/ton, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%. Among them, 10,000 tons were imported from New Zealand, accounting for 60.9%, a year-on-year decrease of 15.9%, and imports from the European Union were 6,300 tons, accounting for 38.4%, a year-on-year increase of 113.6%.

  3.1.4 Yogurt imported from January to February-32.6%to 2900 tons, the price is +13.9%year-on-year
  According to China Customs statistics, from January to February 2021, China imported a total of 2900 tons of yogurt, a year-on-year decrease of 32.6%. The import value was US$0.05 million, a year-on-year decrease of 23.1%. The average price was US$1884/ton, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%, 2400 tons were imported from the EU, accounting for 84.6%, a year-on-year decrease of 33.3%, and imports from New Zealand were 0.03 million tons, accounting for 10.9%, a year-on-year decrease of 35.5%.
   In February, China imported a total of 12,000 tons of yogurt, a decrease of 52.8%year-on-year. Imports amounted to US$20 million, a year-on-year decrease of 47.9%. The average price was US$1,803/ton, an increase of 10.3%year-on-year. It imported 10,000 tons from the EU. It accounted for 86.2%, a year-on-year decrease of 52.1%, and imported 0.01 million tons from New Zealand, accounting for 11.1%, a year-on-year decrease of 59.2%.
  04Genetic material trade

   Breeding cattle imports
  4.1.1 Live cattle imports from January to February +99.9%to 78,000 heads
  According to the data provided by the Chinese Customs, from January to February 2021, my country imported a total of 78,000 heads of live cattle, +99.9%year-on-year, 26,000 heads from Australia, 20,900 heads from Uruguay, 18,500 heads from New Zealand, and 12,500 heads from Chile .
   Among them, only 11,700 cattle were classified by customs, which was +54%year-on-year, of which 4,200 were from New Zealand, 3,600 from Uruguay, 25,000 from Australia, and 15,000 from Chile.
   28,400 live cattle were imported in February, +219.1%year-on-year, including 16,900 from Uruguay, 7,200 from Australia, and 4,400 from New Zealand; all imported live cattle were non-breeding cattle (bred cattle classified by customs ).

  Imported beef jelly essence
  4.2.1 Beef frozen semen imports from January to February +37%to 10.68 million US dollars
  Customs data does not count the quantity of beef frozen semen imported. From the perspective of value, the import value from January to February 2021 reached 10.68 million US dollars, an increase of 37%year-on-year. The main source countries are the United States accounting for 90.1%; Australia accounting for 6%; Germany accounted for 1.5%; Italy accounted for 1.2%; Norway accounted for 1.2%.

   Hay imports
  According to customs statistics, from January to February 2021, my country imported 259,900 tons of hay, up 22.0%year-on-year, and the average CIF price was US$347.40/ton, down 3.6%year-on-year.
