Agricultural production in Kazakhstan increased by 2.8%in the first quarter

Interfax News Agency, Almaty, April 14, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of Kazakhstan, from January to March 2021, Kazakhstan’s agricultural production value was 591.348 billion tenge (US$1.36 billion), a year-on-year increase of 2.8%. Among them, the output value of the aquaculture industry was 55.162 billion tenge, an increase of 3%year-on-year; the output value of the planting industry was 33.546 billion tenge, the same year-on-year.

  As of April 1, 2021, the number of cattle in Kazakhstan is 8.797 million, an increase of 5.5%; horses are 3.2034 million, an increase of 10%; sheep are 20,453,200, an increase of 3.7%; goats are 2.773 million, an increase of 1.2%; There were 43.766 million poultry, a decrease of 2.6%; and 892,200 live pigs, a decrease of 0.2%.
