The EU approves the fumonisin esterase produced by Komagataella phaffii DSM 32159 as a feed additive

Food Partner Network News According to the Official Journal of the European Union, on February 26, 2021, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) No. 2021/363, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1831/of the European Parliament and the Council. In 2003, the fumonisin esterase produced by Komagataella phaffii DSM 32159 was approved as a feed additive for all animals.

  According to the conditions specified in the appendix, the category of this additive authorized as an animal additive is”technical additives”, and the functional group is”substances that reduce mycotoxin pollution in feed”. The authorization end date is March 21, 2031. This regulation shall take effect on the twentieth day from the date of issuance.
