Thailand imposes temporary import restrictions on poultry products from areas with highly pathogenic avian influenza in France

  Food Partner Network News On March 24, 2021, according to the World Trade Organization Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures Committee, Thailand suspended the import of French live poultry and its products.

   Following the International Organization for Animal Health (OIE) announcement regarding the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (HPAI) in France, Thailand is taking preventive health measures to prevent the introduction of HPAI through imported French live poultry and its products domestic.
  According to the announcement, Thailand will treat the provinces of South Corsica, Yvelines, Landes, Vendée, Desèvres and Haute Pyrenees affected by H5N5 highly pathogenic avian influenza in France. And Pyrenees-Atlantic provinces impose temporary import restrictions on poultry and their products.
