Switzerland amends Annex 1 to the Regulation on Phytosanitary Products

   On February 22, 2021, Switzerland notified the WTO of the draft directive (G/SPS/N/CHE/82/Add.3). On December 19, 2019, document G/SPS/N/CHE/82 notified the”Regulations on Phytosanitary Products” (RS 916.161, OPPh). OPPh stipulates the conditions for placing phytosanitary products on the market. Annex 1 of the OPPh contains a list of active substances that can be used as Swiss phytosanitary products. A new substance can be included in this appendix if the attached application has been reviewed and meets the conditions specified in Article 5. According to the provisions of the draft document attached, the following OPPh amendments include new substances and delete several substances in Annex 1.
