Statistics Canada:Canadian corn exports hit a three-month low in January

  Foreign media news on March 9:Statistics Canada released data showing that Canada’s corn exports in January 2021 were 63,863 tons, the lowest level in three months, of which 51.7%were exported to the UK.

   Since September, Canada’s total corn exports have been 497,600 tons, an increase of 306%year-on-year and 22.9%higher than the five-year average.
   The current export volume accounts for 35.5%of the Canadian Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food’s February forecast target of 1.4 million tons, which means that the current export pace is behind the level required to achieve the target.
