South Korea will buy more than 10,000 tons of rice from Vietnam

   (People’s Daily) On March 26, five countries including the United States, China, Thailand, Australia and Vietnam bid for the supply of more than 200,000 tons of rice to South Korea.

   It is reported that the Korean state-owned agricultural, fishery and food trading company (KAFTC) will hold a bidding meeting to purchase 208,217 tons of rice.
  The winning bidder will deliver the goods to the designated port between May 1, 2021 and October 31, 2021.
   The bidding will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 (Korean Standard Time) on March 26, 2021. The deadline for submission of bid documents is 3 pm on March 25, 2021 (Korea Standard Time).
   Among the 208,217 tons of rice mentioned above, South Korea will purchase a batch of 11,236 tons of rice from Vietnam. The designated port is Mokpo Port, and the delivery period is until June 30, 2021. (End)
