South Korea investigated and punished 7 infant food manufacturers that violated the Food Sanitation Law

  Food Partner Network News On March 10, 2021, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued a message saying:From February 17 to February 23, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety 574 manufacturers of food supplements and snacks and beverages for infants and young children have been inspected, and 7 companies that violate the Food Sanitation Law have been investigated and dealt with.
   The main violations include:failure to implement self-quality inspection (2 companies), storage of expired products for the purpose of cooking (1 company), failure to write production logs (1 company), violation of storage standards (1 company), and failure to implement physical examinations (1 company), not wearing a sanitary cap (1 company), etc.
   In addition, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety also inspected 131 infant foods and destroyed 2 products with excessive bacterial counts.
