“Sino-Hungarian Fruit Wine Brandy Research Laboratory” was established in Southwest University

   In 2020, facing the challenge of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the economic and trade exchanges between China and Hungary have bucked the trend, and Southwest University and Hungary’s food science cooperative research mechanism continues to innovate.
   Under the guidance of China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative and Hungary’s “East Development” policy, the “Sino-Hungarian Food Science Cooperative Research Center” of Southwest University and InWest-China Group jointly established the “Southwest University Sino-Hungarian Fruit Wine Brandy Research Office”, and the establishment ceremony will be held on February 1, 2021 in a combination of online and offline methods. The research laboratory aims at the joint application and development of brandy brewing technology, vocational education and training cooperation, and the landing and development of the fruit wine brandy industry in Chongqing and even China.
   The inauguration ceremony of the”Sino-Hungarian Fruit Wine Brandy Research Laboratory” was presided over by Zhang Jun, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our school, Ni Jiupai, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Office of Southwest University, and Zeng Liang, Deputy Dean of the School of Food Science, Southwest University, respectively Congratulations, Mr. Kan Jianquan, director of the “Sino-Hungarian Food Science Cooperative Research Center” of Southwest University and a second-level professor of the school, and Mr. Dióssi Lóránd, Chairman of InWest-China Group and former Hungarian Consul General in Chongqing, jointly announced China-Hungary The fruit wine brandy research laboratory was established and a cooperation agreement was signed.
   Mr. Luo Qing, head of the Science and Technology Section of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary, Mr. Ge Kaida, Consul General of Hungary in Chongqing, Mr. Li Hai, Deputy Director of Chongqing High-tech Entrepreneurship Center, Director of China-Hungary Technology Transfer Center, and Food Research of the Hungarian National Agricultural Innovation Center Director Dr. Nora Kisbocskói participated in the ceremony online and delivered a congratulatory speech. Dr. Ferenc Hegyi, the first international outstanding youth of our school, Dr. Zsolt Zalan, the host of the China-Hungary key research and development project, and the research team of the”Sino-Hungarian Food Science Cooperative Research Center” of Southwest University jointly witnessed the establishment of the”Sino-Hungarian Fruit Wine Brandy Research Laboratory”. Participants also conducted a tasting of fruit wine brandy.
   The”China-Hungary Food Science Cooperative Research Center” was formally established in May 2017. It has carried out fruitful cooperation with the Hungarian National Agricultural Innovation Research Center and won 8 Sino-Hungarian government cooperation projects. Scientists from both sides named the center Published more than 40 academic papers. Won 1 first prize for technological invention from the Ministry of Education, 1 person with the title of International Outstanding Youth, 1 international training, 6 relevant scientific and technological cooperation agreements, and 7 invitations to participate in Sino-Hungarian cultural and foreign affairs exchange activities. A model of international scientific research cooperation, its cooperative research results are favored by Chongqing’s famous enterprise”Jiang Xiaobai”. In order to better promote the implementation of the research results of Sino-Hungarian fruit wine brandy cooperation, the”Sino-Hungarian Food Science Cooperative Research Center” and InWest-China Ltd. jointly established the”Sino-Hungarian Fruit Wine Brandy Research Office” production-university-research cooperation platform. The platform will carry out continuous cooperative research in the fields of food technology and food safety monitoring, and promote the “improvement of quality and efficiency” of China-Hungary cultural exchanges and scientific and technological cooperation, and help countries along the “Belt and Road” to “connect people to people” and “connect products” .
