From Intrafish March 4, the Chilean Fisheries and Aquaculture Administration (Sernapesca) stated that the Russian Federation Animal and Plant Quarantine Service Rosselkhoznadzor lifted the import restrictions on four Chilean salmon and other seafood products processors or distributors.

Salmones Camanchaca, Exportadora los Fiordos Limitada, Granja Marina Tornagaleones and Hook Chile, located in the Los Lagos region of southern Chile, were approved to resume exports to Russia on February 26.
In 2019, after Rosselkhoznadzor completed an audit of Chilean aquatic products companies, a ban was imposed on 19 companies that process or distribute farmed salmon, including Cermaq, Nova Austral and Multiexport.
At the time, Russian officials claimed that they found chemical residues and unauthorized substances in the cargo during the audit.
Except for the companies whose export ban was lifted on Tuesday, the restrictions on other companies that were initially banned have also been lifted.
Some salmon farming companies in Chile are still subject to import restrictions. A total of 17 companies are still on the restricted list, including Mowi Chile and salmon Aysen.
