From Intrafish’s news on March 5, the plant-based seafood company Ocean Hugger is planning to reopen. Last year, the company suspended operations due to the collapse of the catering service business due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ocean Hugger has established a joint venture with Thai food manufacturer Nove Foods Limited.
Ocean Hugger, USA, was established in 2016. At the beginning of 2020, the company has sold a plant-funded marlin Ahimi to catering operators in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom. It is made with six raw materials including tomatoes, which fully simulates the style, taste and texture of tuna. And use eggplant as a plant-based Japanese eel substitute.
