Japan releases amendments to”Specifications and Standards for Food, Additives, etc.” (Pesticide and Veterinary Drug Residues)

Food Partner NetworkNews On March 26, 2021, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan issued the No. 4 Notice of Sang Shifa 0326, which issued the”Specifications and Standards for Food, Additives, etc.” Partial modification. The main changes are as follows:
1. Modify or set the residue limits of six pesticides in foods:Oxazosulfyl, pesticide Badam, Insecticide, Insectsulfur, veterinary medicine Tidiluoxin, pesticide fenhexamid, pesticide jasmone and pesticide flometoquin in food .
2. Applicable date This notice will come into effect on the date of issuance, but the limits of pesticide and veterinary drug residues in some foods may still be applicable to previous regulations within 1 year from the date of this notice.
