H5N3 low pathogenic avian influenza outbreak in the UK

  Food Partner Network News According to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), on March 29, 2021, the UK Ministry of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs notified OIE that there was a low pathogenicity in the UK Avian influenza epidemic.
   The outbreak occurred in Chester, West Cheshire, England. It was confirmed on March 28, 2021. The source of the epidemic is unknown or uncertain. Laboratory tests revealed that 4,540 birds were suspected of being infected.
  The epidemic is not over yet, and the UK Ministry of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs will submit a follow-up report every week.
