Food exports from the Russian Altai Territory to China more than tripled

    The press service of the Food, Processing and Pharmaceutical Industry and Biotechnology Administration of the Altai Territory of Russia released a statement that since the beginning of this year, the Altai Territory has supplied 2.4 times more agricultural raw materials and food to China than in the same period in 2020.

   The Press Office pointed out that buckwheat, wheat, and soybeans will become the driving force for export growth in 2021. In addition, Chinese partners have greatly increased their purchases of flax and rapeseed seeds, beverages and sunflower oil.
  The Administration added that China is the largest trading partner of agricultural product exporters in Altai Krai. In 2020, exports to China increased by 43%to 138.5 million U.S. dollars. Continue to maintain a positive momentum in 2021. Currently, Altai Krai’s exports to China account for half of the region’s total exports.
