Navarro said that South Korea is Colombia’s strategic partner in Asia, and it is also the fifth importer of Colombian Hass avocados in Asia and the 26th in the world. Navarro said that the achievement is the result of the cooperation of the economic, diplomatic, tourism, agricultural, and import and export departments. Hass avocados plays an important role in agriculture in Colombia, there are about 6.2 million people in different sectors directly or indirectly involved in the production and marketing of avocados. In 2020, overseas sales will reach 144 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 11%of total non-traditional agricultural exports. Colombian Hass avocados have strong competitive advantages.
