An African swine fever outbreak in Vinnytsia Region, Ukraine

  Food Partner Network News According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), on March 25, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture Policy and Food of Ukraine reported to OIE that an outbreak of African swine fever occurred in Ukraine.

   The outbreak occurred in Pikif Village, Kalinivka District, Vinnytsia Prefecture. It was confirmed on March 23, 2021. The source of the outbreak is unknown or uncertain. Laboratory tests revealed that 368 pigs were suspected of being infected, 4 of them became sick and died, and 364 were killed and disposed of.
  The epidemic has not yet ended. The Ministry of Agriculture Policy and Food of Ukraine will submit a follow-up report every week.
