On January 28, 2021, the Institute of Nutrition held a national key research and development plan”Dietary Nutrition Evaluation and Intervention Strategy Research” project kick-off meeting. A total of more than 100 people from the Nutrition Institute, Sichuan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, etc., the lead undertaker of the project, attended the meeting. The kick-off meeting was hosted by Li Xinwei, Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the Institute of Nutrition and Zhang Bing, Deputy Director. Director Ding Gangqiang, the project leader, introduced the project establishment process, overall goals, main content, research methods, assessment indicators, organization and implementation, and time arrangements. Director He Li of the Science and Education Department of the Institute of Nutrition and Jin Yun, the Deputy Director of the Finance Department, respectively introduced the scientific research project management and financial management requirements of the national key research plan. The five project leaders/representatives introduced the precise collection of dietary data and the establishment of nutrition evaluation technology (project leader researcher Liu Ailing), the study of important nutrient requirements of the Chinese population (project leader researcher Yang Lichen), and the effects of different regional dietary patterns on health Research on the impact of diseases (project leader Ding Gangqiang, chief physician), research and application of key technologies for nutrition and health food at specific physiological stages (project leader, researcher Huang Jian), and research on intervention strategies for major nutritional problems in China (project leader, researcher Sun Jing) Research program and implementation plan.
