SARS-COV-2 virus infection outbreak in Poland

  Food Partner Network News According to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), on February 3, 2021, the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development notified OIE that an outbreak of SARS-COV-2 virus infection occurred in Poland.

   The outbreak occurred in Zhukovo Town, Kartuzi County, Coastal Province, which was confirmed on January 30, 2021. The source of the epidemic is unknown or uncertain. Laboratory tests revealed that 5,845 mustelidae animals were suspected of being infected, 4 of which became ill, and 5,845 were killed and disposed of.
  The epidemic has not yet ended, and the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will submit a follow-up report every week.
