  1. Gross output value of feed industry

   The total output value of the national feed industry was 946.33 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.0%; the total operating income was 907.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%. Among them, the output value of feed products was 844.59 billion yuan and the operating income was 813.51 billion yuan, an increase of 17.3%and 16.9%respectively; the total output value of feed additive products was 93.29 billion yuan and the operating income was 85.77 billion yuan, an increase of 11.2%and 12.4%respectively; The product output value was 8.45 billion yuan, and the operating income was 8.0 billion yuan, an increase of 76.8%and 32.2%respectively.

  2. Total output of industrial feed

  The total output of industrial feed in the country was 252.761 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. Among them, the output of compound feed was 23.705 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, the output of concentrated feed was 15.148 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 22.0%, and the output of additive premixed feed was 5.945 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%. In terms of varieties, the output of pig feed was 89.225 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.4%, reaching 86%of the highest output in 2018; the output of egg and poultry feed was 33.519 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%, and the output of meat and poultry feed was 91.758 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%. The output of ruminant feed was 13.188 million tons, an increase of 18.9%year-on-year, both hitting a record high; the output of aquatic feed was 21.236 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.6%; the output of pet feed was 963,000 tons, an increase of 10.6%; the output of other feeds was 2.872 million tons. A year-on-year increase of 18.7%. In terms of sales methods, the total amount of bulk feed was 58.976 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 33.6%, accounting for 25.6%of the total compound feed output, an increase of 4.6%over the previous year.

   The national output of feed additives was 13.908 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.0%. Among them, the output of directly prepared feed additives was 12.964 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.7%; the output of mixed feed additives was 944,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 36.8%. The output of amino acids, vitamins and mineral elements was 3.697 million tons, 1.603 million tons, and 6.926 million tons, respectively, an increase of 12.0%, 26.0%, and 17.3%year-on-year. The output of new feed additives such as enzyme preparations and microbial preparations maintained rapid growth, with a year-on-year increase of 15.1%and 22.7%respectively.

   There are 749 feed production plants with a scale of more than 100,000 tons in the country, an increase of 128 over the previous year; the feed output is 133.52 million tons, an increase of 19.8%year-on-year, accounting for the total national feed 52.8%of output, an increase of 6.2 percentage points over the previous year. There are 9 production plants in the country with an annual output of more than 500,000 tons, an increase of 2 over the previous year, with a single plant’s maximum output of 1.226 million tons. There are 33 feed enterprise groups with an annual output of more than one million tons, accounting for 54.6%of the total national feed output. Among them, three enterprise groups have an annual output of more than 10 million tons.

  5. Regional layout changes

   There are 10 provinces where the national feed production exceeds 10 million tons, an increase of 1 over the previous year. They are Shandong, Guangdong, Liaoning, Guangxi, Jiangsu, Hebei, Henan, Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan. Among them, the output of Shandong Province reached 43.358 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.7%; the output of Guangdong Province was 30.102 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%; the total output value of feed products in Shandong and Guangdong continued to remain above 100 billion yuan, 136.9 billion yuan and 1,106 yuan respectively. 100 million yuan.
