(People’s Daily) On February 12 (the first day of the first lunar month), dozens of large trucks carrying 190 tons of pitaya entered China through the land international port No. 2 in Jincheng, Lao Cai Province. This is the first shipment of goods to be exported through Jincheng Port in the 2021 Xin Chou Year of the Ox.

It is understood that this batch of dragon fruit will be sold to Yunnan, Guangxi, Sichuan and other provinces (regions) in China, with a total export volume of 2.8 billion VND (about 120,000 US dollars). Customs officers create convenient conditions for the clearance of this batch of goods as soon as possible.
The “dual goals” of preventing epidemics and promoting development are implemented. During the Spring Festival, all staff at Jincheng Port will still go to work as usual to ensure the normal operation of import and export activities. At the same time, we will do our best to prevent and control the new crown pneumonia epidemic and maintain cooperation with relevant Chinese forces to create the most convenient conditions for enterprise customs clearance.
On the same day, Huang Guoqing, vice chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee, went to Jincheng Port to conduct inspections and condolences.
In 2020, the total import and export trade at Jincheng Port will reach 1.159 billion U.S. dollars, of which the total export will reach 606 million U.S. dollars. The main export agricultural product is dragon fruit, with a total export value of 337 million US dollars. (End)
