New Zealand revises requirements for fresh and frozen vegetables exported to China

   On February 3, 2021, the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) issued Announcement No. 630, which is the revised version No. 44 of”Requirements for Plant Products Exported to China.” The main contents of this revision include:

  1. Sections 3 and 4 of the”Requirements” added a new requirement that”exporters exporting fresh or frozen vegetables to China should meet the official Chinese registration requirements and be registered in China”;
  2. Attached Table 1 (List of quarantine pests of plant products exported to China) adds 5 pests including tomato brown wrinkle virus, corn dwarf mosaic virus, and milky ear snails.
   The announcement will take effect from the date of publication.
