Food Partner Network News On February 8, the Jiangxi Provincial Market Supervision Administration announced that recently the bureau organized food safety supervision and random inspections of edible agricultural products, processed food products, and catering food, totaling 146 For batches of food, 2 batches of food were found to be unqualified, involving veterinary drug residues and microbial contamination.
Among them, one batch of edible agricultural products was found to have veterinary drug residues. The bream sold by Chen Meigen at the Huangxi Market in Nanchang City found that enrofloxacin did not meet the national food safety standards.
Enrofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone drug, a class of synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial drugs, used to treat animal skin infections, respiratory infections, etc., and is an animal exclusive drug. The”GB 31650-2019 National Food Safety Standard Maximum Residue Limit of Veterinary Drugs in Food” stipulates that the maximum residue limit of enrofloxacin in fish (skin + meat) is 100 μg/kg. Long-term consumption of food with excess enrofloxacin residues will have a certain impact on human health.
The other batch was catering food, and microbial contamination was detected:the reused tableware (chopsticks) of Shangzuo Baiweiguan, Yuehu District, Yingtan City, detected coliform bacteria that did not meet the national food safety standards.
Coliform is one of the commonly used indicator bacteria for food contamination at home and abroad. The detection of coliform bacteria in the food indicates that it is more likely to be contaminated by pathogenic bacteria. The”National Food Safety Standard Sterilized Meal (Drinking) Utensils” (GB 14934-2016) stipulates that sterilized meal (drinking) utensils (fermentation method, paper method) shall not detect coliforms.
The Jiangxi Provincial Market Supervision Administration has notified the relevant market supervision department to deal with the unqualified food found in the random inspection. The local market supervision department has ordered the relevant units in the food production and operation link to immediately take measures to check the product flow, stop selling, remove the shelves, and recall the risk to control risks, and report the verified purchase channels and origin information to the relevant management departments. At present, some relevant units involved have been investigated according to law.
