Iran’s seafood exports have earned US$400 million in foreign exchange this fiscal year

   Iran’s “Financial Tribune” reported on February 1, Iran’s Fisheries Organization official Gushahi stated that Iran exported seafood products in the first 10 months of this fiscal year (March 2020 to January 2021) 114,000 tons, worth 400 million US dollars, increased by 4%and 6%respectively. Iran is a major seafood producer in the Middle East. It exported a total of 146,000 tons in the last fiscal year, valued at $59 million. The main export products are trout, caviar and shrimp. In addition, some non-halal fishery products are also exported, such as hairtail, squid, and catfish.
